Sunday 2/28/10 :

  • FINALLY, a new episode of the QuispQuake Audio Show has been posted!!!  77 minutes of aural pleasure, featuring many of the sounds I've been listening to over the past year or so.  All kindsa sounds are mashed together in a hopefully pleasant way.  Check it out on the Audio Mixes page HERE.

Saturday 2/27/10 :

  • First and most important, a couple of Sharity posts...the album "Flight F-I-N-A-L", perhaps the strangest religious record ever, and a 45 by moog pioneer Gershon Kingsley that you can check out on the Sharity 45 page HERE

    Also, more page cleanup...I'm doing a record show in Peabody Mass next week (details on the blog HERE).  And I'm throwing the website address around pretty liberally, so hopefully it looks okay...Comments are welcome :)

  • LOTS of page design...moving from the old static page to the new & improved CSS designed site.  Lots of daily construction going on, and lots of dead & weirdly working links, so please be patient, and the site should be ROARING soon!!!

WWW.QUISPQUAKE.INFO MACH 2!!!

We're NEW and improved!!! The change has been made...www.quispquake.info will now be concentrating on music discussion, sharing, and information. The newest areas at QQ are a 'Sharity' area (with postings of rare vinyl rips), the "Audio Mixes" section (where I or others will be posting fun music mixes), and a "Blog" for music/vinyl discussion.  All of these areas can be accessed by the navigation bar on the left.

Since I'm a hobbyist vinyl collector/dealer, I find a ton of cool records that I record digitally. I plan on posting many of these files on the "Sharity" section of this site, where you're welcome to download some lost or forgotten sounds. For the time being, since I get a pretty good download allowance from my web host, I'm hoping to store the music locally, so it's quick & easy for you to download.  There are already a few items posted if you want to check it out HERE.

The original QuispQuake site had a few music mixes that I created when the inspiration hit me. I will still continue to do the occasional music mix, and I'm hoping to get some friends who are into mixing sounds to post some shows too (email me at quispquake@quispquake.info if you are interested in posting something on the site). These shows will be in the "Audio Mixes" section of the site, and once again are hosted locally for your easy downloading pleasure.

One thing I would love to start up is a good discussion site where people can add their ideas or topics. For the time being, I have created a new blog where I will be putting posts up at least weekly, and I invite you to comment as much as you want. If you have a comment that you'd like to have me create a discussion topic for, just email me at quispquake@quispquake.info.

And finally, I don't hit as many shows as I used to, but I still try to throw the occasional review up when I do...the "Show Reviews" section links to the many reviews I've done of past shows (and hopefully will point to more reviews as I hit a couple of shows INCLUDING ALL TOMORROW'S PARTIES this year!).
