The Major Stars
Live at the Space Gallery Portland, ME 3/24/08

Wow...a SERIOUSLY intense show took place at the Space in Portland, Maine on 3/24/08.  I had seen Major Stars at the last Terrastock, and had enjoyed them immensely...BUT, at Terrastock, they only played for 40 minutes or so...In Portland, they played for two full hours.

And play they did...I have RARELY in my life seen a band play at this kind of full-on intensity for two hours without a break...all three guitarists were full tilt (and yes, Wayne Rogers IS the new guitar god!!!), the drummer just never let up, hell, EVERYONE was playing as hard as I've ever seen a band play...

A bunch of Portland acts played before Major Stars...they were okay, and they were the reason for the big crowd...Within 30 minutes of Major Stars playing, only about 1/10 of the audience was still there...they were just so damned frantic!!!  Not to sound like an old fart here, but I really don't think the modern audience can deal with a full-on attack for two hours like Major Stars did!!!

Anyways, a GREAT show, and catch them if they come to your town...I had just gotten my new video camera, so caught a couple of songs of theirs to give you an idea of the fun...Give a view, and hopefully Major Stars will be one of your favorites too!!!
